Kin Care Connect Services offers practical, person-centred support across South Australia for carers, families, NDIS participants, professionals, volunteers and people experiencing isolation. Our trauma-informed and culturally safe practitioners work collaboratively, focusing on strengths, goals and meaningful participation.
Kinship/Foster carer assessments
Thorough kinship/Foster carer assessments help families and services understand a carer’s strengths, circumstances, and support needs. We use a respectful, child-focused approach throughout the assessment process. Our practitioners are trained in the Psycho-Social, Winangay, and Step by Step carer assessment tools, which are approved by the Department for Child Protection, South Australia.
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)
Functional Capacity Assessments identify how disability affects everyday life, communication, relationships and community participation. Findings can support clear, practical recommendations aligned with an NDIS participant’s goals.
Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
Functional Behaviour Assessments seek to understand the purpose and context of behaviours of concern. We work with participants, families and support teams to develop informed, strengths-based strategies.
Professional supervision
Reflective, strengths-focused supervision is available for social work and community services practitioners. Sessions support ethical practice, professional growth, wellbeing and confident decision-making.
Social and family connection programs
